DLP Platforms Technical Support Lead, AVP

About the job

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented DLP Platforms Technical Support Lead to join our Security Platforms team. In this role, you will lead the technical support team responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing data loss prevention systems.

Tasks

  • Leading and mentoring a team of technical support engineers specializing in DLP platforms
  • Ensuring the timely resolution of support tickets and compliance with SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
  • Tuning and upgrading of system components, including internal testing and change management processes
  • Work with key stakeholders and suppliers to implement new or additional DLP capabilities to meet our risk data protection objectives
  • Contribute to projects that enhance current DLP capabilities, drive adoption and enable future growth
  • Carrying out root cause analyses for recurring problems and implementing preventive measures
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to DLP platforms
  • Work with the Cyber Fusion Centre team to ensure our DLP platforms meet operational requirements, within DLP program operations, Insider Threat and Incident Response

Requirements

  • Experience in operating and supporting DLP tools in multiple security domains, such as network, email, endpoint and web
  • Knowledge of enterprise DLP platforms, e.g. Symantec DLP, Digital Guardian Endpoint DLP, ProofPoint, Microsoft Purview
  • Strong skills in managing application deployments, configurations and updates on Linux operating systems (RHEL), with strong knowledge of Linux commands, file systems, permissions and process management
  • Understanding and working knowledge of current data protection, information security and cyber security practices and techniques
  • Direct experience in team management, mentoring and leadership
  • Creating an environment that promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • A collaborative approach to solving technical challenges and improving safety
  • A desire to learn, combined with a collaborative work style and strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a 24/7 security operations environment that emphasizes reliability and system availability

Education and preferred qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity or a related field
  • A degree is not required, but a qualification in information security or information systems may be an advantage
  • Security certifications can be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA CASP+, GSEC or similar, relevant product certifications)
  • Experience in the financial sector is an advantage

Further requirements

  • This role can be filled in Ireland - Kilkenny or Dublin
  • This team supports 24/7 operations that may require weekend work
