Associate Doctor, Threat and Vulnerability

Tasks

• Work with Northern Trust’s cybersecurity team as a technical resource and serve as the company’s point of contact for technical matters related to vulnerability management, security operations, threat intelligence, identity and access, incident response, SaaS, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Management

• Analysis of application security issues (involving applications, personnel, endpoints, and software running on these assets) as they relate to the assets.
• Addressing new vulnerabilities, CMVs, and security issues for IT departments.
• Conduct remediation using CVSS, exploitability, threat intelligence, business criticality, and asset values.
• Monitoring business activities and providing reports on vulnerabilities, technical initiatives, and project status.
• Support for vulnerability and configuration management of information assets.

Exposure Management

• Monitoring and assessing cyber threats and exploitable vulnerabilities across the entire enterprise environment.
• Support for the strategic and operational activities of Common Threat and Security Management (CTSM).
• Providing continuous analysis and visualization of trends.
• Support in developing and refining security and vulnerability management strategies.
• Monitoring and providing reports on threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends across business units and service areas.
• Conducting threat intelligence reports, industry reports, and industry-wide vulnerability analyses.
• Analysis of threat intelligence sources, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and assessment of the relevant impact on the Northern Trust network.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with IT departments and business partners to recommend a response to the program.
• Preparing reports on risks and general safety initiatives while ensuring that all stakeholders are involved in the process.
• Develop a plan for remediation, retraining, and monitoring of systems.
• Building relationships with IT departments, stakeholders, and maintenance staff.
