Economist (80%)
The Swiss National Bank is looking for an economist (80%) to conduct international economic policy analyses and advise the bank's management on these issues. The successful candidate should have a doctorate in economics and experience in researching and analyzing international macroeconomic issues.
Your contribution
- Developing basic principles on international economic policy issues with a focus on Switzerland's foreign trade sector, and developing and representing the SNB's position on these issues;
- Independently conducting analyses and writing and publishing research papers on international issues relevant to the SNB;
- Advising the bank's management on all matters within this area of responsibility and preparing for international meetings.
Your knowledge and experience
- Completed doctoral studies in economics, preferably with a focus on international macroeconomics;
- Research experience and strong interest in international macroeconomic issues;
- Strong analytical and editorial skills;
- In-depth knowledge of statistical and econometric methods and experience in analyzing large data sets;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as very good German or French skills.
