Economist Monetary policy analyses
The Swiss National Bank is seeking an economist for monetary policy analysis who will contribute to assessing the transmission and degree of restriction of monetary policy and conduct research on monetary policy issues. The position is based in Zurich and requires a doctorate in a relevant discipline as well as experience in a central bank or research institution.

The Monetary Policy Analysis organizational unit of the Swiss National Bank is responsible for assessing the transmission and degree of restriction of monetary policy as a basis for the monetary policy assessment. * Analyzing and developing monetary policy indicators and helping to prepare the monetary policy assessment; * Writing studies on Swiss monetary policy and drafting speeches and articles for the SNB's regular publications; * Conducting research on topics relevant to monetary policy.Your knowledge and experience
* Doctorate in monetary economics, macroeconomics, financial market economics, or applied econometrics; * Ideally, several years of professional experience at a central bank or research institution and publications in scientific journals; * Good programming skills (e.g., in R, Matlab, or Python); * Ability to analyze and evaluate complex economic relationships and present them in a way that is understandable to different target groups, especially with regard to fundamental monetary and currency policy issues; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German or French and excellent English skills; * Strong team spirit, reliability, and independence.Our offer
