Job description

Tasks

• Preparation of forecasts and in-depth analyses of the Swiss economy;
• New and further development of instruments, methods and processes for forecasting and analysis work;
• Writing reports and research papers on relevant macroeconomic topics.

Requirements

• Doctorate in economics, preferably with a focus on macroeconomics
• Broad-based macroeconomic knowledge, interest in applied and economic policy issues;
• Experience in or strong interest in macroeconomic forecasting and analysis;
• Good programming skills (e.g. in R, Python or Matlab) and an affinity for IT;
• Ability to communicate complex issues in writing and orally in a manner appropriate to the target audience;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in German or French and an excellent command of English;
• High level of teamwork, reliability and independence.
