Equities Quant Trader

As an Equities Quant Trader at Man Group, you will be responsible for managing systematic quantitative strategies and developing a modern trading platform for the company. You will be part of a small systematic trading team focusing on the US, Canadian, and Latin American markets.

Job description: Equities Quant Trader

Tasks

  • Trading on US/Canada/Latin American markets (e.g., stocks, futures, FX, options)
  • Member of the Boston-based Electronic Markets Trading team, responsible for systematic trading strategies for the US and Canada (equities, Latin America, FX, ETFs, commodities, Latin America)
  • Contribution to improvements in signal development, portfolio construction, risk management, and trading
  • Monitoring the development of trading strategies, infrastructure, and technology
  • Using qualitative and quantitative analyses to improve the performance of systematic strategies
  • Supporting junior traders and responding to changing market conditions
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with cross-asset partners
  • Assistance with various proprietary algorithm improvements and R&D experiments

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in equity quant trading
  • Experience in systematic trading of FX, futures, options
  • Detailed understanding of the American market structure (developed and emerging markets)
  • Expertise in a few high-level languages such as Python or C++
  • Technical skills related to trading / order routing / transaction cost analysis
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or a related quantitative field

Salary and benefits

  • Anticipated base salary range: $160,000 - $300,000 USD
  • Compensation packages also include benefits and a discretionary bonus.
