Job description: Equity Trader Asia

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced equity derivatives trader to join our dynamic trading team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Asian equity and structured product markets, strong quantitative skills and a proven track record of executing and managing exotics derivatives risk in Asian underlyings.

Tasks

• Manage an Asian equity exotics derivatives portfolio to maximize profitability from client flow and mitigate risk.
• Ensure that all market and price parameters are properly maintained.
• Delivering responsive and competitive quotes to customers and providing first class service to sales and customers, including the creation of trade ideas.
• Monitoring stock markets, global economic events, central bank policies and geopolitical developments that impact the financial markets.
• Manage and optimize risk exposure within predefined risk parameters.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal trading guidelines.

Requirements

• Master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related field.
• At least 5 years (ideally 10 years) experience in equity exotics derivatives trading at a financial institution, with deep knowledge of Asian markets.
• Strong understanding of derivatives, pricing models and risk management techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is an advantage.
