eTrading Developer (Fixed Income)
Nomura is seeking an experienced eTrading Developer in London for its Fixed Income division, who will be responsible for developing and optimizing algorithmic trading strategies and execution algorithms. The position requires a degree in a quantitative field, strong programming skills (e.g., C++, Python), and expertise in market microstructure and high-frequency trading.
Tasks
- Design and development of sophisticated algorithmic trading strategies using quantitative methods and statistical analysis
- Implementation and Optimization of Execution Algorithms to Improve Trading Efficiency and Reduce Market Impact
- Analysis of Market Microstructure and Development of Models for Predicting Short-Term Price Movements
- Collaborating with Quanten, developers, and traders to turn trading ideas into executable code
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of trading strategies, with corresponding real-time adjustments
- Research on New Trading Opportunities and Market Inefficiencies
- Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring compliance in all trading activities
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with electronic trading platforms and liquidity providers
- Contribution to the company's overall e-commerce infrastructure and technology stack
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience in e-commerce or in a similar role in the financial markets
- Strong programming skills in C++, Java, Python, or other languages
- In-depth understanding of market structure, order types, and exchange protocols
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) and algorithmic execution strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Familiarity with financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Reg NMS)
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud computing platforms
- Experience with KDB+ or other time-series databases
