EuroHUB Senior Data Engineer 100% (ff/m/d)

Tasks

• Development and optimization of complex SQL transformations to support analytics, reporting, and financial and regulatory requirements
• Work on and contribute to existing enterprise models (Data Vault, dimensional, 3NF, domain-oriented structures)
• Ensuring that the SQL logic is high-performing, maintainable, and compliant with modeling standards
• Implementation and maintenance of data quality checks, validation rules, and SQL tests
• Maintenance of clear documentation, data lineage, and metadata to support empowerment and governance
• Support for reducing architectural debt and assistance in maintaining a clean, consistent data environment
• Design and Maintenance of SQL-Driven ETL/ELT Data Pipelines
• Use Python wherever it offers benefits for automation, API integration, or workflow efficiency
• Implementation of ingestion patterns for batch, near-real-time, and near-real-time data streams
• Ensuring monitoring, observability, and reliable operation of data workflows
• Structuring SQL data sets optimized for BI use
• Support for data preparation, extraction logic, and backend performance
• Support for dashboard and report designers in troubleshooting, prototyping, and governance
• Collaborating with finance, risk, compliance, and business teams to translate requirements into high-quality data solutions
• Closer collaboration with data architects to ensure compliance with modeling standards
• Support for troubleshooting across ingestion, modeling, and operational processes
• Contributions to platform development, engineering improvements, and roadmap initiatives
• Effective Communication with Technical and Business Stakeholders

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of SQL (complex queries, tuning, optimization)
• Experience working with and extending established data models (Data Vault, dimensional, 3NF)
• Extensive experience in developing scalable, SQL-driven transformations
• Experience in automation, API integrations, and workflow improvements is a major advantage
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools is a major advantage
• Experience working in banking, financial services, or regulated environments is a major advantage
• Commitment to building reliable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested data solutions
