Execution Trader [Cyprus]
Taurus is seeking an ambitious and self-motivated execution trader for digital assets in Nicosia, Cyprus, to support its rapid global growth. The trader will be responsible for executing client orders, managing relationships with digital asset exchanges, and monitoring risks.
Tasks
- Executing customer orders in accordance with best execution policy and within set risk limits
- Working under the supervision of the senior trader
- Participation in the development of a cutting-edge trading infrastructure for all services (exchange, prime brokerage, spot, derivatives, etc.)
- Establishing, managing, and monitoring relationships with digital asset exchanges, OTC dealers, liquidity providers, and market makers; participating in due diligence and monitoring
- Manage the company's proprietary trading portfolio and handle hedging activities within established risk limits
- Compliance with all risk limits at all times
- Ensuring the proper execution and settlement of trades in close cooperation with the back office/operations team
- Creation of daily newsletters about digital assets
- Preparation of ad hoc research reports
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the trading platform to provide the best liquidity and execution capabilities
- Preparing dashboards and reports on trading activities and best execution for senior management
- Participation in ad hoc projects and initiatives, such as testing new product versions
Requirements
- Degree in economics, finance, and/or business administration
- 3 years of experience in trading with multiple asset classes: cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, or derivatives, for regulated financial institutions (e.g., banks, broker-dealers, asset managers)
- Holders of the Advanced CySEC Certificate or willingness to take the exam as soon as possible
- Excellent quantitative skills, well-organized and structured
- Strong passion and excellent understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
- Highest professional standards with regard to risk and compliance aspects (market abuse, best execution, stock exchange rules, etc.)
- Knowledge of market making is a plus
- Quantitative and coding skills, a strong plus
- Autonomous, open, independent, quick learner, hands-on, high energy level, and results-oriented
- Fluent in English, Greek a strong plus
