Executive Director, China

The position of Executive Director, China, at Man Group involves managing client relationships and developing new strategies for institutional investors in China. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams, assisting with regulatory compliance, and monitoring fund performance.

Tasks

  • Developing and maintaining client relationships, particularly in the area of asset real management.
  • Identifying, creating, and developing potential investment opportunities—both to attract new clients and to maintain the trust of existing clients—as well as developing the market and sharing investment opportunities with relevant clients within the institutional and alternative investor base.
  • Structured management of assigned accounts—including account specification, research, and potential clients, as well as monitoring the investment universe and reporting on investment and deal execution in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting managers and consultants and communicating with managers regarding model development and product implementation.
  • Coordinate with the internal fund management team regarding the execution of the trading strategy.
  • Attendance at board meetings and coordination with regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs Department.
  • Assistance with regulatory matters or compliance, as needed.
  • Support for any teamwork requested by the manager.
  • Collaborate on defining the fund’s annual benchmark, which helps implement the fund’s investment strategy by establishing the current benchmark as the fund’s benchmark, and be responsible for presenting the fund’s ongoing annual performance.
  • Coordination with the bank regarding the fund's annual performance and the validity of the benchmark.
  • Support the internal relations department and the research team in conducting fund research in collaboration with the investment team.
  • Ensuring targeted outreach to all target customer bases and coordinating with account managers for comprehensive customer management.
  • Manage internal support to ensure the timely delivery of quarterly performance data and reports, and provide liquidity to support and monitor fund changes.
  • Maintaining high standards of work when communicating with the research team; providing guidance to ensure the quality of ongoing fund reports; and coordinating the analysis of research papers for clients.
  • Ensuring data quality with customers, protecting customer and personal data, and maintaining a strong culture of confidentiality and pride in our craft.
  • Support the CIO in providing information to senior management to promote all aspects of internal communication, including collaboration with the partner fund team.
  • Support for ad hoc fund management activities in the region within the business unit.
  • It serves as a window for the research team to report to the internal team on market conditions in the region.
