Experienced Buyer (IT SW & HW)

Tasks

The responsibilities of the Experienced Buyer (IT SW & HW) include:

• Planning, coordination, management, and execution of moderately complex, medium-risk sourcing and procurement events with a primary focus on IT software and hardware categories
• Support for supplier performance monitoring and contract remediation activities, future-proofing, expenditure and other analyses and reporting, as well as continuous improvement activities and projects
• Category sourcing and procurement (primary focus on IT SW & HW), including:
  • Full support for requisitioners in all relevant procurement aspects
  • Creation and execution of appropriate sourcing plans and approaches for assigned sourcing and requisitions
  • Prioritization and progress of sourcing and procurement steps
  • Monitoring and ensuring complete status transparency until successful completion
• Supplier management, performance monitoring, and reporting, including:
  • Information from (Senior) Sourcing Lead and Line Manager about systemic supplier performance issues and contract violations
  • Identification, prequalification, and finalization of suitable supply sources
  • Collecting, analyzing, and providing feedback on supplier and market price trends

Requirements

The requirements for this position are:

• Completed commercial diploma or bachelor's degree in (technical) business administration, preferably in procurement/supply chain management
• 5-7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and contract management roles, with hands-on commercial and contractual negotiations and requisition-to-order experience in IT software and hardware spending categories
• Supplier relationship management and sourcing category experience
• Demonstrated history of exemplary values and behaviors, including integrity, respect, diligence, and fairness
• Team player with an open, hands-on, action-oriented, and solution-oriented attitude
• Adaptable mindset to navigate change and engage during transformation and continuous improvement
