Experienced Buyer (IT SW & HW)
The Experienced Buyer (IT SW & HW) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing procurement and purchasing processes in the area of IT software and hardware. The position requires 5-7 years of experience in procurement and purchasing, commercial training, and strong communication and analytical skills.
Tasks
The position as Experienced Buyer (IT SW & HW) includes the following tasks:- Planning, coordination, management, and execution of moderately complex, medium-risk procurement and purchasing events with a primary focus on IT software and hardware purchasing categories
- Support in monitoring supplier performance and contract execution
- Conducting spend analyses and reporting
- Communication and exchange of procurement-related information with team members
Category sourcing and procurement
Category sourcing and procurement encompasses the following tasks:- Complete and exclusive advice to enquirers on all relevant procurement aspects
- Preparation and execution of appropriate procurement plans and approaches for assigned procurements and/or inquiries
- Tendering, evaluation, and negotiation of suitable commercial terms and conditions, prices, KPIs, and SLAs
- Validation and negotiation of contractual terms and conditions for appropriate risk mitigation and compliance
Supplier management and monitoring
Supplier management and monitoring include the following tasks:- Information from (senior) sourcing leads and line managers about systemic supplier performance issues and contract violations
- Identification, prequalification, and finalization of suitable sources of supply
- Collecting, analyzing, and providing feedback on supplier and market price trends
Requirements
The position requires the following qualifications:- Completed commercial diploma or degree in (technical) business administration, preferably in procurement or supply chain management
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, and contract management roles with hands-on experience in commercial and contractual negotiations and requests in IT software and hardware donation categories
- Experience in supplier relationship management and in the execution of procurement categories
- Excellent business communication skills in German and English
