Experienced Database Engineer
The position as Experienced Database Engineer at UBS Card Center in Zurich includes the analysis and clarification of business requirements, the modeling of data structures and the development of solutions to improve applications. The focus is on data warehousing, data modeling and security as well as working with business partners to ensure data quality.
The role
- Analysis and clarification of technical requirements in direct contact with the business partners
- Technical modeling of the data structures including further development of the logical data model and creation of the corresponding documentation
- Implementation of the requirements in compliance with all architectural, operational and procedural standards
- Development and implementation of solutions for the continuous improvement of applications in terms of performance and standardization
- Ensuring daily processing and deployments as well as proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization of data flows
- Continuous collaboration with business partners to ensure data quality and availability
Requirements
- Academic education in economics, computer science, mathematics or a related subject
- Practical experience in data warehousing
- Good knowledge of data modeling
- Knowledge of database security
- Substantial knowledge of SQL in the database system
- Familiarity with agile methods and tools
- Excellent analytical ability
- Fluent German language skills
