Finance and Controlling Expert
The Valais Cantonal Bank is seeking a finance and controlling expert to join its management team and ensure the reliability of financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other things, monitoring investments and costs, developing financial analyses, and preparing forecasts.
Tasks
Specifically?- Tracking investments and costs (CAPEX/OPEX) across the entire bank
- Contributing to the development of financial analysis dashboards to effectively reach your audience and support strategic decision-making
- Participation in the development and improvement of financial forecasts
- Contribution to the overhaul of the investment process (real estate/IT)
- Participation in the implementation of regulatory reporting systems critical to supervisory authorities (SNB - FINMA)
Requirements
This position is for you if...- Strong analytical skills combined with in-depth knowledge of banking regulations
- A tertiary degree in economics (HEC, Federal Diploma in Finance and Controlling) combined with experience in the field of banking risk management, banking accounting, or banking auditing
- Proficiency in banking regulations, with an interest in IT and familiarity with software (ideally Fire and Finnova) as well as reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Native speaker of French or German, with a good command of the other language
- A dynamic and sociable person with a sharp analytical mind and the drive needed to manage your projects with initiative
- Excellence in a changing environment, demonstrating initiative, rigor, and independence, as well as curiosity and proactivity in identifying effective solutions
