Finance and Controlling Expert
The Valais Cantonal Bank is seeking a finance and controlling expert to contribute to the bank's financial management and support various projects within the service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring investments and costs, developing financial analyses, and participating in the preparation of financial forecasts.
Tasks
Specifically?- Monitoring of investments and costs (CAPEX/OPEX) for the entire bank
- Development of tables and analyses to provide financial support for decision-making
- Participation in the preparation and improvement of financial forecasts
- Collaboration on the revision of the investment process (real estate/IT)
- Participation in the implementation of regulatory reports for supervisory authorities (SNB – FINMA)
Requirements
This position is for you if...- Solid analytical skills combined with in-depth knowledge of banking regulations
- Education in economics (HEC, Federal Diploma as a Finance and Controlling Expert) with experience in banking risk management, banking accounting, or banking auditing
- Knowledge of banking regulations and experience with software (ideally Fire and Finnova) and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBi)
- Native speaker of French or German; good knowledge of the second language is an advantage
- Agile and sociable person with sharp analytical skills and the dynamism necessary for entrepreneurial file management.
- Ability to work in a changing environment, with initiative, accuracy, and independence
