BCV is seeking an Oracle Exadata expert who will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle databases and Exadata systems. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with Oracle databases and Exadata systems and be able to analyze and solve complex problems.
Job description
We are looking for an expert in Oracle Exadata.Tasks
- Participation in the administration of Oracle Exadata appliances
- Performing corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance of Oracle databases
- Contribution to operations on other database technologies while ensuring data integrity and effective incident handling
- Contribution to continuous integration processes for our applications through automation and industrialization of eligible activities on databases
- Promoting knowledge sharing, mentoring junior DBAs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Participation in on-call duty
Requirements
Technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle databases, Data Guard, RAC, Goldengate
- Very good knowledge of Oracle Linux and/or Oracle Exadata Appliances
- Good knowledge of Linux shell scripts, Ansible, and Vault
- ITIL and/or Oracle certification is a plus
Profile
- University degree (Master's degree or equivalent)
- 10 years of experience as an Oracle expert in the context of major clients
- Interest in continuous improvement and automation of operations
- Perfect command of French, English at level B2 or higher
- Interest in teamwork
- Analytical mind, ability to synthesize, and sense of responsibility
- Residence in Switzerland or willingness to settle in Switzerland
