Oracle Exadata expert
Banque Cantonale Vaudoise (BCV) is looking for an Oracle Exadata expert to take over the administration of Oracle Exadata appliances and perform maintenance on Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Oracle databases, Oracle Linux, and Oracle Exadata, as well as over 10 years of experience as an Oracle expert in a large company.
Job description
We are looking for an Oracle Exadata expert to perform the following tasks:- Administration of Oracle Exadata Appliances
- Corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance of Oracle databases
- Contribute to operations on other database technologies, ensuring data integrity and efficient incident handling
- Contribution to the continuous integration processes of our applications through the automation and industrialization of database operations
- Promoting knowledge sharing, mentoring DBA juniors, and fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Participation in the on-call service
Requirements
Required technical skills:- Excellent knowledge of Oracle databases, Data Guard, RAC, and GoldenGate
- Very good knowledge of Oracle Linux and/or Oracle Exadata appliances
- Good knowledge of Linux shell scripts, Ansible, and Vault
- ITIL and/or Oracle certifications are an advantage
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate who:- Higher education (master's degree or equivalent)
- 10 years of experience as an Oracle expert in a large corporate environment
- Interest in the DBA-Oracle role within a large corporation
- Interest in continuous improvement and the automation of operations
- Fluency in French; English at least at the B2 level
- Interest in teamwork
- Analytical, synthetic thinking and sense of responsibility
- Residence in Switzerland or willingness to move to Switzerland
