Payment Transactions Specialist
As a Payment Transactions Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Basel, you will process international payments, checks, and cards, as well as handle inquiries with banks and internal departments. This full-time position requires commercial training, in-depth industry knowledge, and proficiency in German and English.
Your tasks
- Verification of payment transactions with internal departments as well as domestic and foreign banks
- Processing of incoming and outgoing payments for our international clientele
- Processing of check deposits, credit cards, and Maestro cards
- Providing consulting services to internal departments and our client advisors in Switzerland and at our international locations in the areas of payment transactions, checks, and cards
- Willingness to work occasionally on holidays (1 to 2 times a year) on a rotating basis with other team members
- Substitute shifts at the cash register in Basel, alternating with other team members
Requirements
- Completed business training (or equivalent)
- In-depth industry knowledge in the field of payment transactions
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of Avaloq is a plus
- An efficient and organized approach to work, as well as a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate within a team and with various stakeholders
- Quick comprehension and the ability to recognize connections
- A strong commitment to quality and responsibility, as well as a strong willingness to learn and high motivation
- Proficiency in spoken and written German and English
