Facility and Maintenance Specialist
Syz Group is seeking a Facility and Maintenance Specialist to be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of buildings and facilities at its Swiss branches. The ideal candidate should have experience in building maintenance, be skilled with their hands, and have good organizational skills.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Facility and Maintenance Specialist to take responsibility for facility logistics and building management at our Swiss offices in Geneva, Zurich, Lugano, and Locarno. In this key role, you will report to the Facility and Physical Security Manager and play an important role in ensuring that our premises are safe, secure, and fully functional.Tasks
- **Facility Maintenance & Repairs:** Ensure that buildings are in excellent condition by performing routine "do-it-yourself" repairs, such as painting walls, plumbing, fixing minor electrical problems, and general maintenance. Coordinate with external service providers and other teams to ensure the good condition of other remote locations in Switzerland, if necessary. Perform general maintenance and major repairs with specialized contractors when necessary. Ensure that the necessary basic equipment and materials for general repairs and renovations are available. - **Cleaning, Decontamination & Integrated Management:** Ensure that common areas are kept clean throughout the day, especially restrooms, and that supplies are stocked. Perform occasional deep cleaning tasks, such as using a pressure washer to clean the exterior of the building and ensuring that all areas are tidy. Clean assets with specific equipment. - **Logistics, Technical Maintenance, and Related Tasks:** Perform tasks related to building security in collaboration with the Facility and Physical Security Manager. Ensure that you are available on a rotating basis (generally 1 week/month) and according to building security or safety task requirements. Contribute to maintaining surveillance to ensure that the physical security of all locations is carried out accurately and carefully by the external security guard agency.Requirements
- **Work experience and skills:**- Proven experience in building maintenance, hotel facility maintenance, or a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, painting, and other repair and maintenance work (secondary/baccalaureate background is a plus)
- Ability to perform physical tasks that may require standing and walking for long periods of time
- Flexibility to travel to other Swiss banking locations or provide support outside standard working hours, both at other locations in Switzerland and at home
- Experience working with external contractors for major repair and maintenance projects
- Problem solver with the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Openness with basic knowledge of security protocols and willingness to implement physical security measures
