FCC, Compliance Control Officer
The FCC Compliance Control Officer supports the Regional Head FCC in monitoring compliance regulations and internal policies to minimize operational, regulatory and reputational risks. The position requires a detail-oriented and analytical personality with experience in compliance testing or audit, especially in the area of financial crime compliance.
Job description
Tasks
- Support the Regional Head FCC in ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies, procedures and instructions.
- Support the Regional Head FCC in managing regulatory issues, trends and emerging risks.
- Support the Regional Head FCC in the implementation of the head office's holistic monitoring program in accordance with globally defined standards.
- Foster close working relationships with key stakeholders at HQ and other locations (especially Hong Kong) for a consistent control framework and alignment of testing steps/methodologies.
- Maintaining good contacts with auditors, MAS/law enforcement agencies and key stakeholders to keep abreast of regulatory developments.
- Support the implementation of the Bank's risk culture initiatives and HR's disciplinary and escalation framework.
Main tasks
- Development, execution and documentation of compliance controls, in particular in the area of combating financial crime, within specified deadlines.
- Participate in compliance strategy roadmap projects and coordinate the completion of head office initiatives.
- Develop QA and testing frameworks, including annual QA and test plans, risk assessments, test QA scripts, procedures and sampling methods that take into account regulatory expectations and industry developments.
- Preparation and review of reports on non-closed and systematic findings.
- Support in the validation and tracking of declaratory conclusions.
- Conduct investigations and coordinate escalation to the Disciplinary Committee in accordance with the HR framework.
- Support with ad-hoc handling of compliance, regulatory inspection updates and reporting (internal and external).
- Support the Regional Head FCC and contribute to compliance training programs for employees (if applicable).

Professional and technical skills
- A degree with more than 3 years of experience in compliance testing/quality assurance or audit, preferably in the area of combating financial crime.
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory environment and risk management, including the ability to identify and remediate related compliance risk issues.
- Experience in working with regulatory authorities and auditors.
- Knowledge of business, processes, standards, policies and procedures in a private banking sector.
