FIG Analyst (Madrid, Spain)
Alantra is seeking a FIG Analyst for its Madrid office to support the team in M&A transactions, loan portfolios, and asset-backed securities through financial modeling and the preparation of marketing materials. The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional experience, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.
Industries
- M&A: Broad and comprehensive sector coverage with a proven track record of assisting banks, insurance companies, asset and wealth managers, servicers, fintech firms, and all FIG-related companies, as well as whole loan and lease originators.
- Credit Portfolio: Leading advisor on transactions involving distressed and non-core assets, ABS (secured/unsecured NPLs, REOs).
- Secured Funding and Asset-Backed Securities (SFABS): Experience across the full range of asset-backed lending structures and securitized credit, including whole-loan securitizations, asset-backed notes, credit derivatives, and other structured credit instruments. Our approach is based on a deep understanding of the underlying assets to be securitized and market-leading analytical capabilities gained through our role as a leading credit portfolio advisor.
Job Description
- Based in Madrid, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment and become an integral part of our FIG team.
- Day-to-day tasks will include: Assisting with the execution of active mandates: Preparing marketing materials, financial models, and client presentations for potential clients.
Requirements
- Strong academic background and achievements.
- At least 1 year of experience at a leading investment bank, boutique firm, or accounting firm is preferred. Previous experience in the FIG sector is highly valued but not required.
- Excellent financial knowledge and understanding of financial statements.
- Financial modeling skills.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- Able to work under pressure and in a situation where priorities are constantly changing.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is required.
- Proficiency in other languages (French, Portuguese, or Italian) is a plus.
