Alantra is looking for a FIG Analyst (m/f/d) to structure sales of loan portfolios and financings with asset-backed securities in Mexico City. The main responsibilities include assisting in the execution of mandates, marketing initiatives and analyzing financial data.
Job description
FIG Analyst- Structure Sale of Loan Portfolios and Financing with Asset Back Securities (Mexico City)Tasks
- Credit Portfolio: Lead sell-side advisor for the sale of distressed debt and performing loans to reduce exposure to certain sectors of banks and non-bank financial institutions
- Structuring of asset-backed securities ("ABS"): Structuring of loans secured by portfolios of performing and non-performing loans
- M&A: Broad and comprehensive sector coverage with a proven track record of sell and buy mandates for all financial institutions, including banks, lending platforms, insurance companies, wealth and asset managers, service providers, fintech and all FIG-related businesses
Daily tasks
- Support in the execution of active mandates: Preparing marketing materials, gathering information to create reliable data tapes, analyzing the information contained in these tapes for risk assessment, valuation analysis of portfolios, performing sensitivity analysis on portfolio data, managing highly complex databases (using SQL or other database software), data room management for potential investors, etc.
- Marketing initiatives: Market analysis of various FIG verticals, preparation of market, strategic and industry peer analysis in FIG industry, detailed analysis of banks and financial institutions financial data, screening of potential FIG targets/buyers, preparation of detailed valuations etc.
Requirements
- Experience of working with services commissioned by investors to manage unsecured portfolios
- Previous experience in financial institutions is highly valued and required to be considered a strong candidate
- Excellent financial knowledge and understanding of financial reporting for financial institutions and local/international capital markets
- Highly resource-efficient in the procurement of market information across all available platforms
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute own ideas and work autonomously
- Familiarity with the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Canva and all database management systems
- Ability to work under pressure and in a context of changing priorities
- Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
- Attention to detail and ability to prepare concise and summarized documents
- 100% language proficiency (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is an important requirement
- Excellent business presence in terms of formal business attire
- Flexibility for one day per week to work from home, subject to existing workload
