FIG Associate (Madrid, Spain)
Alantra is seeking a FIG Associate for its Madrid office who, with at least three years of experience in Credit Solutions and SFABS, will support the execution of corporate finance transactions as well as financial analysis and due diligence. The position requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, excellent English skills, and the ability to build financial models and mentor junior staff.
Tasks
- Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate finance transactions (FIG).
- Conducting financial analysis, strategic business analysis, and detailed industry research.
- Participating in raising funds through transactions.
- Building and presenting financial models to support investment, growth, or exit processes.
- Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner.
- Serving as a mentor and role model to junior analysts and interns.
- Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of buyers, sellers, our service, risk, and market trends.
- Support senior staff in client engagement management and transaction management.
- Proficient and efficient use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Market research and analysis of various industry sectors.
- Proficiency in using databases, programming languages, and other research tools (PowerPoint and/or any programming language) is highly desirable.
- Support during the due diligence process.
- Associates have direct exposure to all levels of seniority within the firm, as well as direct client contact whenever possible.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience in credit solutions (structured finance and all types of portfolios).
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages, particularly Portuguese, Italian, and French.
- A strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Cooperative and highly capable, working diligently and independently.
- Strong academic background and achievements, as well as financial knowledge (accounting and company valuation).
- A good understanding of SFABS and asset classes (as a mandatory requirement).
- An entrepreneurial spirit, along with the ability to contribute your own ideas and work independently.
- Proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Able to work under pressure and in a situation where priorities are constantly changing.
- Knowledge of the financial sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
- A strong attention to detail.
