Financial Accountant, Full-Time (f/m/d)
Julius Baer is seeking a Financial Accountant in Zurich to prepare IFRS and local financial reports, ensure compliance, and optimize processes. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in finance, a solid understanding of IFRS, and is fluent in German and English.
Tasks
- Ensuring Compliance with Internal Control Systems (ICS)
- Contribution to the implementation of internal and external accounting standards (including IFRS)
- Conducting analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Preparation of consolidated (IFRS) and local statutory financial statements
- Support for business activities such as the formation of companies, acquisitions, and liquidations
- Cross-functional collaboration with Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT, and Payroll
- Providing technical accounting support and troubleshooting within international teams
- Driving process improvements and supporting SAP-related initiatives (R/3, S/4HANA)
- Participation in system and process testing for financial reporting applications
- Daily Reconciliation of the Balance Sheet and the Income Statement
Requirements
- Swiss Certified Accountant or a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in the banking or financial services sector
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA is a plus
- Proficient Use of MS Office
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a proactive mindset
