Financial Accountant, Full-Time (f/m/d)
Julius Baer is seeking a Financial Accountant (100%) in Zurich who will be responsible for the accounting of domestic and international entities, IFRS reporting, and compliance with internal control systems.
Job Summary
Join Our Team as a Financial Accountant! As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing accounting activities for both domestic and international entities, contributing directly to the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with internal control systems (ICS)
- Contribute to the implementation of internal and external accounting regulations (including IFRS)
- Conduct analytical reviews of balance sheet and income statement items
- Prepare group (IFRS) and local statutory financial statements
- Collaborate across functions with Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT, and Treasury
- Support corporate activities such as entity formation, acquisitions, and liquidations
- Drive process improvements and support SAP-related initiatives (R/3, S/4HANA)
- Provide technical accounting support and troubleshooting across international legal entities
- Participate in system and process testing for accounting applications
Your profile
- Swiss Certified Accountant or a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in banking or financial services
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
