Financial Accountant – Banking Operations 100% (f/m/d)
The Financial Accountant – Banking Operations supports the existing accounting team in their daily tasks and contributes to the stability and further development of accounting processes. The position includes supporting operational accounting activities, analyzing financial reports, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Job description
Tasks
- Support with operational accounting activities and contribution to monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER
- Ensuring the correct posting, control, and reconciliation of financial transactions within SAP
- Preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements that comply with IFRS and RV (Swiss banking GAAP)
- Technical support during internal and external audits and for reconciliation between financial systems and core banking systems
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders across various departments, such as Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT Operations, and Payroll
- Participation in testing, implementation, and rollout of new functionalities in SAP and core banking systems
- Support in ensuring data quality and further developing internal controls. Analysis, specification, and optimization of existing processes.
Requirements
- Completed degree in finance or business administration with additional qualification in accounting (e.g., professional certificate in finance and accounting, bachelor's/master's degree in accounting or banking & finance)
- Several years of professional experience in bank accounting is required.
- Experience with T24 or other core banking systems is an advantage.
