Financial Accountant

Tasks

The main responsibilities include:

• Responsibility for the accounts payable process, including invoice control, posting invoices, and making payments via e-banking and Swift
• Management and monitoring of specific internal accounts such as fixed assets, general expenses, depreciation, provisions, prepayments (including budget comparison and IT cost accounting)
• Monitoring the status of the bank's service level agreements (SLA), including validation and payment of invoices
• Preparation of selected group reports and upload to the bank's shared portal (e.g., fixed assets, deposits, auditing, etc.)

Support in preparing sales tax and regulatory reports for the regulator (e.g., Federal Tax Administration, Swiss National Bank, FINMA)

Requirements

• Commercial apprenticeship, qualification e.g. accountant, fiduciary or comparable training such as a degree in economics
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in a banking environment with international operations

Performance: Internal candidates: consistently strong performer in current role (Upper L or expected performance + at least 2 times in the last 3 cycles)

Required knowledge and skills

• Good knowledge of accounting
• Basic knowledge of banks
• Good knowledge of English, German, and/or Portuguese would be an advantage.
• Experience with regulatory and sales tax reporting would be an advantage.
• Ability and interest in working in an international team and environment
• Reliable and accurate operation
