Financial Accounting - Accounting Policy & Standards Specialist 100% (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Proactive monitoring and implementation of relevant changes in IFRS accounting standards
• Maintenance and appropriate further development of the Group Accounting and Reporting Manual
• Ensuring content requirements for IFRS-based financial reports, including the implementation of new or revised accounting standards or other requirements
• Collaboration in the preparation of financial reports at group and bank level
• Providing support in reviewing and approving booking logic in financial projects from an accounting policy perspective, particularly in the context of bank-wide transformation projects and for new products or business initiatives of the Group or the Bank
• Act as the central interface between the finance department and both external and internal auditors, including clarification of technical issues
• Independent development and management of internal control systems within the area of responsibility, taking into account regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks

Requirements

• Financial or business management training and further accounting training
• In-depth expertise in IFRS accounting standards relevant to banks and solid knowledge of Swiss Banking GAAP
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting at a bank, preferably combined with practical experience in external bank audits
• Experience with regulatory requirements for banks within the meaning of the Banking Act and FINMA circulars desirable
• High analytical skills, structured and independent working style with attention to detail and conceptual connections
• Excellent communication skills to be able to deal confidently with both financial reporters
