Financial Controller (m/f/d)

Location:

  • Lisbon

Tasks

  • Provides financial analysis and accounting support for a specific department or product, including profit and loss analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, etc.
  • Assists in the development of financial forecasting models to support senior management in decision making, business management and implementation of the Group's long-term strategy.
  • Ensures that the financial analysis and accounting activities of the business units meet government mandated standards and that project deliverables meet quality, schedule and cost requirements.
  • Monitors company performance and provides evidence to support schedule changes, sales incentives, cost adjustments or resource changes.
  • Participates in strategic projects to improve sales/cost management and internal/external reporting.
  • Improves the profitability of the regional segment, supports the presentation and reporting of financial results.
  • Analyzes financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Prepares financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implements best practices for revenue recognition and financial control.

Requirements

  • Financial knowledge: Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, ideally with 2 to 3 years' experience in strategic consulting or strategic management.
  • Mathematical knowledge with experience in capital liquidity requirements and/or treasury/trading analytics in financial institutions would be an advantage.
  • Analytical thinking: ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strategic planning: Ability to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Attention to detail: Strong focus on accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Business knowledge: Ability to collaborate with various departments and influence decision making.
  • Technology skills: Experience with financial software, ERP systems and data analysis tools (SQL, Python, etc.).
  • Communication skills: Clear and effective communication of financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving ability: Ability to identify problems and develop innovative financial solutions.
  • Leadership and adaptability: Ability to lead financial initiatives in a dynamic business environment.
