Financial Crime Compliance Officer in the Area of CDB Compliance, Full-Time (f/m/d)

Tasks

As a Financial Crime Compliance Officer, you are responsible for the following tasks:

• Independent review of unusual transactions, analysis of the economic background, and assessment of whether these are consistent with the beneficial owner’s statement and the customer’s KYC (Know Your Customer) profile
• Identifying problems during the review process, initiating and monitoring measures to reduce the bank's risk
• Implementation of compliance guidelines regarding customer identification and the determination of beneficial ownership in accordance with CDB 20
• Development of training materials and delivery of training sessions on CDB topics
• Recommendation, development, and implementation of solutions for the continuous improvement of our processes, procedures, and services

Requirements

The following requirements apply to this position:

• A degree in law or business administration, or completion of a banking apprenticeship followed by relevant continuing education (e.g., graduate studies in compliance management or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in the banking industry and in the field of compliance
• Strong knowledge of CDB matters
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to handle tight deadlines, work independently under time pressure, and communicate difficult decisions
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and prioritization skills
• Strong communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Office and IT applications used in the banking sector
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German (at least B2 level); knowledge of other languages is a plus
