FINANCIAL DATA INSTRUMENT MANAGER

We are looking for a Financial Instrument Data Management Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial instrument reference data within the organization. The employee will work closely with the IT team and other internal stakeholders to improve data quality and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Instrument Data Management Officer to join our Operational Services Middle Office team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial instrument reference data used across the organization. You will work closely with IT and other internal stakeholders to improve data quality and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Tasks

  • Monitoring and validation of incoming data feeds related to financial instruments.
  • Identification of opportunities for automation and control of instrument data processes toward very high levels of automation.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth data flow and timely problem resolution.
  • Participation in projects related to the reference data strategy, system integration, and process optimization.
  • Ensuring high data quality standards to enable capital requirements for market risk.

Requirements

  • Experience with business data from financial service providers, ideally in a role in data management or operations.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments across various asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income securities, derivatives, etc.) as well as market data.
  • Strong analytical approach with attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
  • Experience working with market data or financial products (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with IT teams.
  • Comfortable using Python and data analysis tools; knowledge of SQL or similar is an advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding the regulatory requirements that affect reference data is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in defining and monitoring data quality KPIs.
