Alantra is seeking a Financial Reporting Associate in London to oversee and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle for several business units. The candidate should have experience in a finance role, preferably in financial reporting, and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.

Introduction

Alantra is seeking a Financial Reporting Associate for its team in London.

Tasks

  • Monitoring of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle for multiple entities
  • For international transactions: Monitoring local outsourcers to ensure they have all necessary information, deadlines are met, and there is an understanding of financial reporting movements in each jurisdiction.
  • Managing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process to ensure that all accounts are reconciled on time and implementing new accounting standards as required
  • Promoting continuous improvement and automation by designing and implementing new processes and internal controls to integrate evolving business and reporting requirements
  • Assistance with preparing quarterly VAT refunds and regulatory filings; corporate tax and transfer pricing matters
  • Support with certain corporate law requirements

Requirements

  • Experience in a finance role, preferably in financial reporting
  • Postgraduate financial qualification (e.g., ACA) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but open to candidates with alternative experience
  • Strong interest in banks and financial services
  • Knowledge and experience in the automation of financial controls and analytics
  • Proven ability to collaborate with international colleagues in different jurisdictions would be an advantage.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn
  • Ability to take responsibility for a task while working under pressure
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute own ideas and work autonomously
  • English language skills (verbal and written) are required.
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity
