Job description

Tasks

• Preparation and analysis of interim and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant GAAP requirements for alternative investment funds (hedge funds, private equity and real estate funds)
• Ensure that all documentation used to calculate and support financial reports is maintained and accurate; research, resolve or escalate issues
• Coordinating the receipt of comments on draft financial reports from internal and external parties; ensuring comments are researched, resolved and processed in a timely manner
• Performing detailed initial reviews of hedge fund, private equity and real estate fund financial reports by verifying the accuracy and reasonableness of financial reporting disclosures and reviewing cross-checks and calculations
• Maintenance and development of technical expertise and participation in the training of junior staff and new employees

Education and preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS financial reports of investment companies
• Previous experience in managing alternative investments
