Financing Solutions Operations - Assistant Vice President

The Assistant Vice President for Financing Solutions Operations will be responsible for leading processes and teams in Securities Lending, Repo and Collateral Management to support the operating model of State Street Global Markets India. The candidate should have experience in managing large teams and processes and ensuring SLA, ATP and R&R.

Financing Solutions Operations - Assistant Vice President

Tasks

  • Process high volumes of international loans, recall returns, funded and unfunded broker returns daily, following established procedures and controls
  • Monitoring and resolution of outstanding and missing older returns
  • Confirmation, comparison, settlement, etc.
  • Interaction with traders, client management, fund groups and counterparties regarding discrepancies
  • Execution of instructions to receive or deliver securities from counterparties
  • Ensuring that the team complies with the agreed SLA, ATP and R&R and documents evidence of this on a daily basis
  • Review of confirmation/contract documents, IOAs for validation with positions with each counterparty
  • Supporting business units with transaction activity requests, coordinating with traders, corporate action staff and other internal teams
  • Ensure timely resolution of counterparty issues, including pricing issues, amounts of loans and borrowings, etc., while keeping management informed of potential issues
  • Identify and analyze operational risks associated with current and potential business and recommend process changes/improvements as needed
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure key stakeholders are regularly informed of progress and/or issues
  • Ensure that trades that fall out of the STP process are highlighted, tracked and remedied if necessary
  • Understanding the entire process (including new processes) and proactive process improvement ideas, highlighting potential process risks
  • Demonstrate effective risk management capabilities - ensuring compliance and productivity improvements for key stakeholders, ensuring appropriate operational changes are agreed
  • When evaluating opportunities to implement STP in key initiatives

Requirements

  • Experienced Operations Manager for SSGM India COO organization with a proven track record of managing processes and large teams in securities lending, repo-to-market, SBL, corporate actions, FI or equity settlements and collateral management.
