Financial Accountant: Real Estate

Zurich Cantonal Bank is seeking a financial accountant for its asset management team to support the financial management of real estate investment products. The position requires experience in real estate financial accounting, a sound understanding of financial accounting, and very good knowledge of Excel.

Job description

We are looking for a committed, analytically strong, and independent individual to fill the position of Financial Accountant: Real Estate.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Data preparation and support for budgeting, liquidity planning, and various evaluations
  • Implementation and documentation of internal controls (ICS)
  • Responsible for the professional and timely external financing and debt register reporting of our real estate products
  • Active participation in projects for the further development of systems (including Immopac, Flowable), tools, and processes
  • Collaboration with internal specialists from the areas of portfolio management, asset management, and project management

Requirements

The ideal profile includes:
  • Federal certificate in finance and accounting or completed higher education in business administration with a focus on finance and accounting (university/university of applied sciences)
  • Several years of professional experience in financial accounting for real estate, including taxes
  • Thorough understanding of financial accounting, ideally KAG and Swiss GAAP FER
  • Additional training in real estate (MAS / SVIT) is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and strong IT skills
  • Good knowledge of regulatory real estate indicators (AMAS, KGAST) is an advantage
  • Team-oriented approach to work, high level of personal responsibility, and strong awareness of quality
