Flying Client Service Officer
The position of Flying Client Service Officer at the Syz Group in Geneva requires an experienced professional who can meet client needs and handle administrative tasks in the private banking sector. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, a solid understanding of compliance procedures and investment products, as well as strong communication skills.
Tasks
- Assisting relationship managers in various teams with day-to-day client support and handling administrative and operational inquiries (backup, coverage, specific initiatives)
- Communicate with customers by phone and email, ensure that prompt action is taken, and maintain high standards of service and operations
- Execute client instructions accurately and on time; process payment and transfer transactions (orders, trades, etc.); ensure that callbacks are performed systematically; and provide support for other types of transactions
- Management of trust deposits, loan placements, renewals, execution of investment orders (bonds, mutual funds, hedge funds, gold, and private equity, etc.), and monitoring of client accounts
- Resolving operational issues with internal and external business partners
Risk Management & Control
- Ensure strict monitoring of documentation; maintain and update client instructions in files, client information, and preferences; and comply with internal and external regulations (AML, FINMA, FATCA, etc.)
- Understanding of Syz’s risk management framework and familiarity with risk responsibilities within the team to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, internal rules, policies, and guidelines
- Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge and complete all required training to acquire and maintain the necessary level of competence and knowledge for the role
Your profile
- Fluent in English; knowledge of any other European language is a plus
- Relevant education (banking and/or finance or equivalent) and professional experience (experience in the financial sector)
- 5+ years of experience as an assistant, including a solid understanding of compliance matters (account opening, KYC, periodic reviews) and investment products
- Basic understanding of relevant products and services in private banking
- A basic understanding of global financial markets and current industry trends
- High degree of flexibility and adaptability (ability to switch quickly between teams and priorities)
- A team player with a positive attitude and a cooperative spirit who demonstrates dedication and commitment
- Self-motivated, able to multitask, proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and resilience
