Flying Client Service Officer
The position of Client Service Officer at the Syz Group in Geneva requires an experienced professional who is focused on client needs and eager to be part of an innovative environment. The role involves operational, administrative, and client-focused tasks designed to provide excellent support to relationship managers and clients.
Tasks
- Assist relationship managers in various teams with their daily work with clients and handle administrative and operational requests (backup, coverage, specific initiatives)
- Communicate with customers by phone and email to ensure that prompt action is taken and that high standards of service quality and operational excellence are maintained
- Executing client instructions accurately and on time, processing payment and transfer transactions (orders, trades, etc.), ensuring that callbacks are performed systematically, and providing support for other types of transactions
- Management of trust deposits, loan placements, rollovers, execution of investment orders (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity, etc.), cash and foreign exchange transactions, etc.
- Resolving operational issues with internal and external counterparties
Risk management & controls
- Ensuring strict oversight of the documentation, maintenance, and updating of client instruction documents, client data, and client preferences, as well as ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations (AML, FINMA, SOX, etc.)
- Understanding of Syz’s risk management framework and familiarity with risk responsibilities within the teams to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, internal rules, and policies
- Maintaining adequate knowledge and completing all required training to acquire and maintain the necessary level of competence and knowledge to perform the role
Requirements
- Fluent English; knowledge of any other European language is a plus
- Relevant education (banking and/or finance or equivalent) and professional experience (experience in the financial industry)
- 5 years of experience as an assistant, including solid knowledge of compliance matters (account opening, KYC, periodic reviews) and investment products
- A solid understanding of the relevant products and services in private banking
- Basic knowledge of global financial markets and current industry trends
