Job Description
The FP&A Associate is responsible for supporting activities such as:
- (i) Preparation of financial reports for the head office
- (ii) Budgeting and forecasting
- (iii) providing accurate, complete and timely financial performance reports
- (iv) Creating value for the senior management team by assessing financial trends and planning short and long-term strategic plans
- (v) Supporting the international Wealth Management Services - Bank, Broker Dealer and Asset Management - financial operations
Tasks and responsibilities
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, extracting and highlighting relevant information and trends, evaluating company, team and individual performance and supporting management in decision making
- Responsibility for the preparation and analysis of main management reports
- Control of budget variations, comparison of actual and budgeted values and forecasts, highlighting of gaps to support management in preventive and adjusting measures
- Monthly reconciliation of management information with the accounting results
- Improvement and in-depth analysis of spending to drive productivity initiatives for sustainable growth
- Supporting the head of department with special projects and requests
- Proactive initiation of new ideas and methods for the efficient management of the respective business areas
- Compliance with BSA/AML laws, rules, regulations and the Bank's BSA/AML policies and procedures
Requirements
- Knowledge of banking, preferably in the wealth management segment
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (business administration, economics, engineering)
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of Portuguese is a strong plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and moderate programming skills (Python, SQL or Power Automate)
- Above-average analytical skills in financial reporting
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Multitasking, strong prioritization ability, strong initiative and resources
- Cultural awareness to deal with people from different countries
- Authorization to work in the USA
