Front Arena Trading Systems Specialist (Equities & Derivatives)
Julius Baer is seeking a Front Arena Trading Systems Specialist (Equities & Derivatives) in Zurich to develop and support trading systems. The candidate must have at least four years of experience with Front Arena, Python, and FIX protocols. The full-time position is advertised as a 12-month contract through an external staffing partner, with the option to extend.
Job Title
- Front Arena Trading Systems Specialist (Equities & Derivatives) 100% (f/m/d)
- Contract with an external payroll partner, immediate start for 12 months, with the possibility of extension
Tasks
- Design, development, testing, and maintenance of Front Arena-based trading solutions
- Support for electronic trading, market making, order management, and pricing processes
- Integration of Front Arena with exchanges, brokers, market data providers, and internal systems
- Support and Troubleshooting for FIX Connectivity and Trade Flows
- Development of automation and operational tools using Python and PowerShell
- Investigating and Resolving Production Problems Through Root Cause Analysis
- Article on Code Reviews, Software Quality, and CI/CD Processes
- Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver robust solutions
- Promoting continuous improvements in platform stability, performance, and operability
Requirements
- A university degree in computer science, financial engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience working with Front Arena trading solutions
- Solid knowledge of stocks, structured products, and/or derivatives trading
- A solid understanding of e-commerce workflows and connectivity to exchanges
- Experience with FIX protocols, including session-level and business-level transactions
- Strong Python development and automation skills
- Experience setting up Git repositories and developing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of PowerShell and Windows-based environments
- Experience with networking fundamentals and distributed systems
