Responsible for designing, developing, and testing software modules to ensure optimal functionality and integration within complex systems. The role requires a combination of in-depth technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality software solutions. - Understanding business requirements by collaborating with colleagues from various departments. - Participating in planning and feature refinement meetings with the team. - Collaborating with solution architects to design software solutions that align with Julius Baer’s overall architectural vision. - Actively participating in our software engineering communities to share knowledge and help others. - Delivering high-quality code that complies with guidelines and standards.

Your profile

- You have a can-do attitude, are pragmatic, and are open to new ideas. - You have an entrepreneurial mindset, and your ideas are welcome. - You have proven experience in software development using industry standards such as test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD). - You understand DevOps concepts, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD), as well as the importance and value of automated testing. - You’re willing to learn new ways of working and support Julius Baer in its transformation. - You take pride in your work and strive to lead by example. - You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience. - You have a very good command of English.

Our expectations

We don't expect you to be an expert in both front-end and back-end development. We understand that everyone has their own areas of expertise and preferences, so we don't expect you to be an expert in both React and Spring Boot/Java. However, we do expect you to be open to working in both areas when necessary, while still maintaining a focus on either front-end or back-end development.
