Fullstack Senior Software Engineer (Java + React), hybrid, Assistant Vice President

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Fullstack Software Engineer (Java + React) for our FinTech division Charles River Development (CRD). The position is hybrid and at the Assistant Vice President level.
Tasks
- Develop, analyze, design, implement and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River's business and technical platforms
- Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions to complex problems
- Design, development, debugging and implementation of software programs, applications and projects using Java, JavaScript or other related software engineering languages
- Provide sound advice and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews
- Writing unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product
- Identify opportunities to improve development test methodologies to standardize test methodologies
- Documentation of manual tests to ensure a high-quality product
- Troubleshooting for large, critical or complex customer implementations
- Participation in the agile software development process through daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives
- Coordination of cross-team activities to fulfill tasks
- Mentoring and guidance for junior engineers
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in Java development, preferably in the FinTech sector (financial markets)
- B.S. degree (or foreign educational degree) in computer science, engineering or other technical discipline (M.S. degree preferred)
- Experience in front-end/back-end development with React
- Experience in the development of cloud-native solutions (Azure experience a bonus)
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with REDIS
- Kafka, Snowflake, Kubernetes, Tomcat are a strong asset
