Accounting Associate

Tasks

The Fund Accounting department at Man US Direct Lending is responsible for financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance for its funds and investment structures. The Fund Accountant Associate will focus on financial reporting and auditing and will work closely with the accounting and finance team. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for the funds
  • Review of the funds' quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Review of the monthly and quarterly compliance reports submitted to the funds’ lenders
  • Support and coordination of fund audits
  • Assistance with preparing quarterly and annual operating budget forecasts
  • Management of treasury and capital expenditures and identification of bottlenecks
  • Hedge Accounting Management
  • Maintain close contact with management and other key personnel to gather information
  • Management and oversight of third-party audit service providers and other third parties
  • Facilitating communication with auditors and the investment team
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
  • Ad hoc projects by assignment

Requirements

The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally in public auditing or a similar financial role, and experience at a credit asset manager or an alternative asset manager
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel to provide a scalable solution
  • Strong technical skills
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • The ability to communicate reflectively, with a desire to listen clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills
