Accounting Associate

Purpose of the role

The Fund Accountant at Man US Direct Lending is responsible for financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance for its funds and other investment structures. The Fund Accounting team is seeking an Associate who will focus on financial reporting and auditing. The Associate will collaborate with the finance, operations, and other teams.

Specific responsibilities

• Management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for the funds
• Lead auditor of the funds' quarterly and annual financial reports
• Lead auditor of the monthly and quarterly compliance reports submitted to the funds’ lenders
• Support and coordination of fund audits
• Assistance with preparing quarterly and annual operating budget forecasts
• Management and review of cash and short-term forecasts
• Management of hedge fees and invoice calculations
• Management and support of ongoing portfolio management and other back-office needs
• Collaboration and communication with auditors, third-party providers, and investment teams
• Contribution to the development of processes and procedures
• Ad hoc projects as needed

Key competencies

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry at a public accounting firm or
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar industry
• Experience as an asset manager
• Knowledge of investment products to generate creative lending or investment ideas
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Strong Excel skills
• Effective communication and the ability to write clearly and concisely
• Proactive and independent way of working
• Strong interpersonal skills

We offer

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 USD. The compensation package also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
