Accounting Associate

Tasks

The position of Fund Accountant Associate involves the following responsibilities:

• Management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process for the funds
• Review of the funds' quarterly and annual financial reports
• Review of the monthly compliance report to the funds' lenders
• Support and coordination of fund audits
• Assistance with preparing quarterly and annual operating budget forecasts
• Management of the trade lifecycle and the mark-to-market process
• Management of fee and invoice calculations
• Maintaining trading records and performing other daily tasks
• Management and oversight of third-party vendors and other service providers
• Providing information to the management and investment team
• Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
• Ad hoc projects

Requirements

The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry with a public accounting firm or
• At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry with an asset manager
• Interpersonal and communication skills for conducting credit analyses
• Strong Excel skills
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• An effective communicator with the ability to write clearly and concisely
• Strong interpersonal skills
