Accounting Associate

Tasks

The Fund Accounting position at Man US Direct Lending is responsible for financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance for funds and other investment structures. The Fund Accounting department is seeking an Associate who will focus on financial reporting and auditing. The Associate will support the finance and operations teams to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and to maintain a strong control environment.

Specific responsibilities

• Management of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for funds
• Initial review of the fund’s quarterly and annual financial reports
• Initial review of monthly compliance reports
• Support and coordination of fund audits
• Assistance with preparing quarterly and annual operating budget forecasts
• Management and analysis of cash and debt, as well as the development of predictive models
• Management of fee and invoice calculations
• Effective collaboration with internal and external service providers
• Management and oversight of third-party administrators and other third-party service providers
• Communication and coordination with examiners
• Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
• All ad hoc projects that are assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of experience in the financial services industry with an accounting firm or investment manager
• Experience as an asset manager
• Knowledge of the investment management industry to conduct credit analyses
• Strong Excel skills
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely
• The ability to communicate thoughtfully with a high degree of integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills

We offer

The expected salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 USD. The compensation package also includes benefits and a discretionary bonus.
