Fund Administration Manager

Julius Baer Bank is seeking a Fund Administration Manager who will be responsible for fund administration, payment processing, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in fund administration, private equity operations, or fund custody, and will possess strong communication and IT skills.

Job description

The position of Fund Administration Manager involves a wide range of responsibilities in the areas of fund administration and payment agency services. These include:
  • Fund and Investor Administration
  • Payment, Banking, and Securities Account Monitoring
  • Account Opening and KYC
  • Distribution, Income, and Reporting
  • Handling general inquiries related to fund and payment activities
  • Responsibilities as a specialist handling fund-related inquiries within the bank

Tasks

The specific responsibilities include:
  • Maintenance of investor and shareholder records, including trigger events
  • Periodic review of clients and funds
  • Monitoring compliance with fund and investment restrictions
  • Provision of fund data, benchmarks, and performance monitoring
  • Tracking performance against benchmarks
  • Review of monthly and quarterly valuations and NAVs for accuracy and completeness
  • Review of units held after trading to ensure correct allocation

Requirements

The requirements for candidates include:
  • Proven experience in fund management, private equity operations, or the fund custody environment
  • Relevant professional qualifications (or currently pursuing them) are a plus
  • Experience with financial instruments and private equity structures
  • Comprehensive banking infrastructure, including account opening, AML, and payment processing
  • Experience as a fund administrator or manager, or close collaboration with one
  • Investor onboarding experience, including full responsibility for documentation
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and KYC requirements for investors
  • Experience in processing payments to and from investors, including supporting documentation
  • Experience in reviewing NAVs, valuations, fees, and administrator reporting
  • IT skills include: Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are preferred
