FX Business Technology Analyst

The FX Business Technology Analyst supports strategic projects and BAU initiatives in the area of FX applications and is responsible for the development and maintenance of risk management and margin collateral management platforms. The role includes analysis, configuration, testing and implementation of functional changes as well as collaboration with business owners and stakeholders.

Tasks

Change the bank

  • Actively participate and support the planning of Program Increment (PI) within Markets
  • Capture, specify and document business requirements
  • Analyze, configure, test, implement and document functional changes
  • Participate in the necessary analysis and implementation of business logic
  • Discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
  • Test and onboard new functionalities and bug fixes
  • Coordinate and carry out functional tests of new functionalities
  • Accompany end users during SIT and UAT
  • Continuously develop and improve the platform

Run the bank

  • Support and resolve issues reported by users in the areas of market data, static data, P&L and risk
  • Investigation of STP failures
  • Support in setting up new reference data (currency pairs, portfolios, generators, archiving groups, etc.)
  • Investigation of trade life cycle events
  • Troubleshooting end-of-day processes and batch resolution requests
  • Maintenance of end-of-day reports (usually business-driven, change of query conditions)
  • Support problems with simulation tools (e.g. PnL and Greeks discrepancies, risk matrix setup, PnL explanation, etc.)
  • Availability on one weekend per month for production provisioning

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems, databases and SQL queries (Oracle, Sybase)
  • Extensive technical and business experience with various FX modules in Murex (MX3.1), life cycle events, simulation/life cycle, P&L and risks
  • Good experience in the design and configuration of pre-trade rules
  • Knowledge of Murex Data Mart Reporting and Murex Limit Controller "MLC"
  • Ability to work autonomously in a global team and take initiatives with a positive attitude
  • Solution-oriented and able to work in an agile environment, with strong analytical skills to specify and document requirements
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and deliver effective solutions
  • Willingness to take on analytical tasks as well as practical implementation and testing tasks
  • Previous experience with requirements gathering and user testing
  • Highly motivated and a team player
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken; German would be an advantage
