**FX Business Technology Analyst**

The FX Business Technology Analyst position at Julius Baer involves participation in strategic projects and BAU initiatives in the area of FX applications as well as the development and maintenance of risk management platforms. About the role

The FX Business Technology Analyst role for the FX trading and risk management systems includes participation in various strategic projects and BAU initiatives in the FX Applications department.

Tasks

  • Actively participate and support Program Increment (PI) planning process within Markets
  • Capture, specify and document business requirements
  • Analyze, configure, test, implement and document functional changes
  • Participate in necessary analysis and implementation of business logic
  • Discuss requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
  • Test & onboard new functionalities and bug fixes
  • Coordinate and conduct functional testing of new functionalities
  • Accompany end-users during SIT and UAT
  • Continuously drive and improve the platform

Run the bank

  • Support and troubleshoot issues raised by business users ranging from market data, static data, P&L and risk
  • Investigation of STP failures
  • Support for new reference data setup (currency pairs, portfolios, generators, archiving groups, etc.)
  • Investigation of trade life cycle events
  • Troubleshooting of end of day processes and batch resolution queries
  • End of day reports maintenance. (typically business driven, alteration of query conditions)
  • Support simulation tool issues, (e.g. PnL and Greeks discrepancies, risk matrices setup, PnL explain, etc.)
  • Availability one weekend per month for production deployments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, banking, or related relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience preferably in the financial industry involving Murex
  • Strong understanding of FX trading front to back
  • Excellent understanding of FX cash, FX options, derivatives, precious metals and fixed income products
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems, database & SQL related queries (Oracle, Sybase)
  • Proficient technical & business functional experience of the various FX modules in Murex (MX3.1).
  • Fluent in English, in written form and orally German (would be an advantage)
