Nomura is seeking a GCIO Chief Controls Office Frameworks Lead for a 6-month contract in London to lead the development and implementation of a control framework for the corporate group. Job Title: GCIO Chief Controls Office Frameworks Lead (6-month contract)

Tasks

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
  • Leadership in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the control framework for Nomura GCIO.
  • Leadership in strategy, delivery, and development for the control framework that creates and protects value by safeguarding against reputational damage or financial loss, service failure, or regulatory sanctions.
  • Design and implementation of all aspects of a non-financial risk management framework.
  • Ensuring effective testing and processes, including QA, for the control framework.
  • Providing assurance to senior executives regarding the effectiveness of the control framework.

Requirements

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:
  • A flexible approach to shaping strategic direction, responding positively to feedback and internal and external circumstances.
  • A proven track record in defining and executing change in a complex organization.
  • A catalyst for change who builds trust among stakeholders through the quality and conviction of his vision.
  • An understanding of technology, ideally with cybersecurity, resilience, and related domains.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across the three lines of defense.
  • Strong and effective communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • The ability to think laterally and feel comfortable negotiating and securing agreement from key stakeholders.
